SUMMARY 


We are seeking a Manager of Business Development to own and grow our affiliate channels and strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, managing, and optimizing partner relationships that drive lead generation at attractive unit economics, and deliver on strategic objectives. This is a highly visible and impact-oriented role. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, comfortable with numbers and negotiations, and energized by clear goals and performance-based compensation. Success in this role is measured by partner-driven performance and business impact.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
Affiliate & Strategic Partnership Ownership

  • Business, Product, Solution Development: Identify new opportunities, sell in, and negotiate with the partner, and work across internal stakeholders, including Product, to develop the solution that solves partner needs and grows the business.
  • Key Relationship Development: Execute plan to strategically build and maintain targeted relationships across the partner to enable business success.  
  • Partner Communication: Lead key meetings, communications, escalations, and negotiations; coordinate and bring in subject matter experts when needed. 
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Work across internal TSG stakeholder groups (e.g., marketing, product and legal) to convey a single voice to the partner and ensure timely/successful delivery/issue resolution. 
 
Lead Generation & Economics Performance
  •  Drive partner-sourced lead generation, ensuring targets for volume, quality, and efficiency are met or exceeded.
  • Own partner-level unit economics, including cost per lead, conversion performance, and downstream value.
  • Monitor performance against goals, identify underperformance, and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to optimize funnel performance and partner effectiveness.
 Sourcing, Negotiation & Deal Execution
  • Source new partnership opportunities through outbound efforts, inbound evaluation, and market research.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, including pricing, revenue share, incentives, and performance expectations.
  • Partner with Legal and internal stakeholders to execute partnership agreements efficiently and accurately.
 
Optimization & Ongoing Management
 
  • Continuously test, analyze, and optimize partner programs to improve lead quality and economics.
  • Conduct regular partner performance reviews and communicate expectations clearly.
  • Identify opportunities to scale high-performing partners and sunset underperforming ones.
 
Reporting & Organization
 
  • Maintain accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting for all partner activities.
  • Forecast partner performance and pipeline with discipline and accuracy.
  • Ensure high levels of organization across deals, contracts, and partner communications.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
Required
  •  4–7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, affiliate management, or marketplace businesses.
  • Demonstrated success driving lead generation and managing partner economics.
  • Strong comfort with numbers, performance metrics, and financial trade-offs.
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing partner relationships independently.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with performance-based compensation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional communication skills with external partners.
 
Preferred
 
  • Experience working in marketplace, platform, fintech, or lead-driven businesses.
  • Familiarity with affiliate platforms, tracking tools, or partner management systems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.

 Compensation

Base Salary: 120-145 K
Plus, Bonus Potential-Bonus based upon performance
